Presents to the clinic with fever, sore throat and skin rash. Patient's mother notes that a few days after the fever started she noticed that the child eats with difficulty. She noticed red spots in the mouth which gradually blistered. The skin rash is located on palms, soles and buttocks.
Painful skin rash, fever, mouth sores, difficulty eating and drinking, weight loss.
Macules, papules, vesicles.
Small ulcers around mouth, palate, pharynx.
Oran mucosa, perioral area, palms, soles, buttocks.
The examination of hair and nails was normal.
Diagnosis was made clinically.
Only the oral mucosa lesions - primarily herpangina, orolabial herpes simplex infection, and aphthous stomatitis.
Skin involvement - eczema herpeticum, varicella, disseminated zoster, and erythema multiforme major (widespread cutaneous involvement)
No specific treatment needed.
