Lives in a dry climate and experiences seasonal changes in skin health. • Medications: No regular medications, no known drug allergies.

patient has multiple well-demarcated, erythematous (red) plaques with fine scales, predominantly on the forearms, chest, back, and thighs. The plaques are orange-red in color and tend to form larger patches with a tendency to confluence.

The nails exhibit pitting and onychorrhexis (brittle nails), which are typical in PRP. • Face and Scalp: In some cases, the face and scalp may show involvement, but the patient has no significant facial involvement at this time.

1. Laboratory Results: o CBC (Complete Blood Count): Within normal limits. o Liver Function Tests (LFTs): Normal. o Serology for HIV, Hepatitis B and C: Negative, ruling out viral causes that may have similar skin presentations. o Serum Calcium: Normal. o Vitamin D Levels: Normal. 2. Histology Results: A skin biopsy of an affected plaque shows: o Hyperkeratosis: Thickening of the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum) with abnormal scaling. o Acanthosis: Thickening of the epidermis with elongated rete ridges. o Parakeratosis: Presence of nucleated cells in the stratum corneum. o Infiltration of Inflammatory Cells: A mixed inflammatory infiltrate, including T-lymphocytes, in the dermis. o The histopathologic findings support the diagnosis of Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris.
